What affects an influencer's rate?

Follower count is only the starting point. Engagement rate matters just as much – a Influencer with 20,000 highly engaged followers can be worth more than one with 100,000 passive ones. Pricing also shifts with the platform, the content format (a Reel or dedicated YouTube video costs more than a Story), the niche, how long the brand can use the content, and whether exclusivity is involved.

Typical rates by Influencer tier

As a rough guide, nano-Influencers (1k-10k followers) often charge from a few pounds up to around £100 a post, micro-Influencers (10k-100k) sit in the low hundreds, and macro-Influencers (100k-1M) can run into four figures. Above a million followers, rates are bespoke and negotiated directly – which is exactly where a marketplace like ZOMZEY helps you connect and agree terms.

Frequently asked questions

How much should I pay for a sponsored Instagram post?

A common starting point is roughly £10 per 1,000 followers for a feed post, nudged up or down for engagement and content type. Use the calculator above for a quick estimate.

Do micro-influencers charge less?

Usually yes in absolute terms, but they often deliver stronger engagement and better value per pound, which is why many brands prefer them.

Why do influencer rates vary so much?

Because no two audiences are the same. Niche, audience quality, location, usage rights and exclusivity all change the value of a post, so treat any calculator result as a ballpark, not a fixed quote.

How accurate is this calculator?

It gives a realistic ballpark based on common industry benchmarks. The final rate is always agreed between the brand and the Influencer – this just helps you start the conversation from a fair number.
