ZOMZEY

The ZOMZEY community standards set out how members treat one another: respectful communication, collaboration and payment kept on the platform, respect for consent and privacy, and genuine professional use only. They apply to every member type and to every message, profile, opportunity and deal, and they sit alongside the Acceptable Use Policy and the Trust and Safety page, which explain the protections that apply to every deal.

ZOMZEY COMMUNITY STANDARDS

Professional conduct is required

Members must communicate respectfully, keep collaboration and payments on ZOMZEY, respect consent and privacy, and use the platform only for genuine professional activity.

Not allowed

  • Harassment, sexual harassment, threats, intimidation, stalking or discriminatory abuse.
  • Scams, phishing, impersonation, misleading identity claims or suspicious payment requests.
  • Pressure to move communication, agreements or payment off-platform to avoid ZOMZEY safeguards.
  • Publishing another person’s private information or encouraging retaliation.
  • Spam, repeated unwanted contact, nuisance offers or attempts to evade a block or restriction.

What members should do

  • Stop engaging when contact becomes unsafe or persistently unwanted.
  • Use the message report and block controls where available.
  • Preserve original messages, files and dates rather than editing or deleting evidence.
  • Use Report a Concern for profile, opportunity, deal or wider safety issues.
  • Contact emergency services where there is an immediate real-world danger.

Community standards in practice

Who do the community standards apply to?

Every Member and Agency, and anyone acting on their behalf. The standards apply in messages, on profiles, in opportunities and offers, and in the way deals are delivered and reviewed. They also apply to reviews: a review must describe a deal that happened and must never be used to pressure or punish another member.

What counts as genuine professional activity under the community standards?

Finding, agreeing and delivering legitimate professional work: jobs, projects, opportunities, services, promotion, representation and the conversations that lead to them. Using the platform to sell unrelated services, to collect members’ contact details, or for personal approaches that have nothing to do with a deal is not professional activity and is not allowed.

What happens when the community standards are broken?

Reports are reviewed by the ZOMZEY team. Depending on what happened, an account can be blocked by the member who reported it, restricted or removed, and attempts to evade a block or restriction are themselves a breach. Where a deal is affected, the Protected Payment stays held until the matter is resolved.

How do I report a breach of the community standards?

Use the report and block controls in messages where available, or Report a Concern for a profile, opportunity, deal or wider safety issue. Keep the original messages, files and dates rather than editing or deleting them, because they are the evidence the review relies on.

Why do the community standards keep deals on the platform?

Because the safeguards only work on ZOMZEY: the written agreement, the Protected Payment held until approval, the evidence on the deal page and the review that follows. Pressure to move a conversation, an agreement or a payment elsewhere is a warning sign and is itself a breach. It also means that if something goes wrong, the dispute process has the full record to work from.

Do the community standards cover scams and phishing?

Yes. Impersonation, misleading identity claims and suspicious payment requests are not allowed. Never share passwords or codes, and read the National Cyber Security Centre’s guide to phishing scams if a message asks you to act urgently or to pay outside the platform.

What should I do if someone is in immediate danger?

Contact the emergency services first. Report the account to ZOMZEY afterwards so that the member can be restricted and the evidence preserved. The Trust and Safety page explains the protections that apply to every deal.

How do the community standards relate to the Acceptable Use Policy?

The Acceptable Use Policy is the formal rule set that every member accepts at signup. The community standards summarise the conduct it expects day to day, in plain language, so that members know what respectful, on-platform and professional behaviour looks like before a problem arises.

What if I think a block or restriction was applied in error?

Open a support ticket with the details and any evidence, and the team will review it. Do not create a second account or try to contact the member another way while the review is open, because attempts to evade a block or restriction are themselves a breach of the community standards.

In short, the community standards ask for three things: treat people with respect, keep the collaboration and the money on ZOMZEY, and report what feels unsafe rather than retaliating.
