A dispute is appropriate when a live deal cannot be resolved directly and there is a material disagreement about payment, delivery or the agreed terms. It is not intended for ordinary questions, feature requests or minor misunderstandings that the parties can still fix in chat.
What you need to know
- Examples may include non-delivery, materially incomplete or different work, missed agreed deadlines, disputed approval, unauthorised scope changes, cancellation terms, false completion evidence or disagreement over a refund or split.
- A dislike of style may not be enough where the work meets the written brief; compare the actual delivery with the agreed criteria.
- Harassment, fraud or account-security concerns should also be reported to support and may require a safety investigation separate from the payment dispute.
- Provide a concise timeline and evidence connected to each point.
