What kinds of opportunities, services or behaviour are not allowed?

Some opportunities, services and behaviour are not allowed on ZOMZEY. This article explains what is not allowed and why.

ZOMZEY must not be used for unlawful, fraudulent, deceptive, abusive, rights-infringing or otherwise prohibited activity, and the current Terms and Acceptable Use Policy are the definitive rules.

What is not allowed

  • Do not post or offer work designed to deceive customers, fake identity or performance, manipulate reviews, impersonate others or create fraudulent activity.
  • Do not request or supply content or services that unlawfully infringe copyright, trademarks, privacy, publicity or other rights.
  • Harassment, hate, threats, coercion, scams, malicious software and attempts to steal credentials or payment information are not acceptable.
  • Do not use misleading titles or coded wording to disguise a prohibited opportunity.
  • If you are unsure whether a sensitive or regulated campaign is allowed, check the current policy or ask support before posting or accepting it.

Content that is not allowed

Anything unlawful, fraudulent, misleading or deceptive; anything that infringes another person’s intellectual property, privacy or publicity rights; defamatory, hateful, harassing or abusive material; sexually explicit content; content that promotes terrorism, self harm or eating disorders; malware; other people’s personal data shared without consent; and anything that misrepresents your identity, qualifications, audience or affiliation. This applies to profiles, briefs, offers, messages and reviews alike.

Conduct that is not allowed

Impersonating anyone, including ZOMZEY staff; using a name or brand without authorisation; harassing, threatening or doxxing a member; soliciting contact details, financial information or credentials outside the platform’s standard mechanisms; defrauding or manipulating other members; publishing private communications; and promoting goods or services prohibited under the payment providers’ terms.

Marketplace specific rules

Buying, trading or pressuring for reviews, creating duplicate accounts, agreeing to take a transaction off the platform after being introduced on it, charging or accepting payment outside the platform for work arranged on it, and posting briefs or offers you do not intend to fulfil are all strictly prohibited because they damage the trust the marketplace runs on. The full text is in the Acceptable Use Policy and concerns can be raised through report a concern.

Common questions about what is not allowed

Is it not allowed to take a deal off ZOMZEY once we have met here?

Correct. Agreeing to be paid outside the platform for work arranged on it is one of the marketplace rules, because the deal loses Protected Payments, the dispute process and the record that reviews are built on. Both members can be removed for it.

Are gifted products and free trials not allowed?

They are allowed, provided the arrangement is recorded in the opportunity and the content is labelled where UK advertising rules require it. What is not allowed is hiding a commercial relationship from the audience or from the other member.

What should I do if I see something that is not allowed?

Use report a concern with the profile or opportunity link and a short description. Reports are reviewed by a person, the reporter is not identified to the member reported, and nothing is removed without a review.

Where is the full list of what is not allowed?

In the Acceptable Use Policy and the Community Standards, which are linked from every page footer. The lists above summarise them; the policies themselves are the rules that are enforced, and they are updated when new problems appear.

In short, what is not allowed on ZOMZEY comes down to honesty and safety: no unlawful or misleading content, no impersonation or harassment, no off-platform payment for work arranged here, and no fake reviews. Everything else that a legitimate promotion needs is welcome, and the policies linked in the footer give the complete rules.
