Which ZOMZEY account type should I choose?

Choosing the right account type helps you get the most from ZOMZEY. This guide explains which account type to choose.

Choose the first signup option for promotion, the second for earning from an audience or outlet, or Agencies for representation. Then choose the description that fits you, rather than trying to select an old role label.

Account type: what you need to know

  • Promotion: "You want others to promote what you have/do." — for getting sales, traction and audience for something you have or do.
  • Earning: "You have followers, footfall, audience or fans." — for offering suitable audience, content, venue, outlet or community opportunities.
  • Agencies: for representing others through the existing paid Agency Pro or Agency Max workflow.
  • Your Sector/Genre selects a primary public description in this release, such as Author, Bookstore, Band or Sports Club / Team. It is not a complete list of every genre or skill.
  • An Author can select promotion or earning depending on the intended activity. The shared description does not mean both accounts have identical permissions.
  • For music, select the Band, Musician or Singer description that fits. These retain the existing Music account functionality.
  • For genuine cross-account requirements, contact support rather than opening unnecessary duplicate accounts.

The four account types in brief

Choose Pioneer if you have something to promote and want others to promote it: a book, a product, a course, a brand, an event or an idea. Choose Influencer if you reach people through a personal following or content, for example on YouTube, a podcast, a blog, a newsletter or social media. Choose Hub if you reach people through a place or a community, such as a bookshop, library, café, venue, subscription box, club or society. Choose Agency if you represent other members and want to manage their deals, roster and commission in one place.

You can do more than one thing

A single ZOMZEY account can both post opportunities and send offers, so you do not have to choose between promoting your own work and earning from your audience. A band, for example, can promote a new release and also accept paid promotion from brands. The account type you choose at signup sets how your profile is described; it does not lock you out of the other path.

What each account type costs

All ordinary accounts are free to join. Pioneers pay no commission. Influencers and Hubs pay commission on earnings when a deal is released, with an optional Pro membership to lower it. Agency accounts are paid annual plans. Details are on the pricing page, and you can join free here.

Common questions about account types

Can I change my account type later?

Your signup choice sets how your profile is described, and a single account can already act on both the promotion and earning paths. If you need the description itself changed, ask support rather than creating a second account.

Should a band choose Influencer or Hub?

Neither. Bands, musicians and singers have their own Music account types, which keep a Music profile while allowing them to promote their own work and accept paid promotion.

Should a shop choose Pioneer or Hub?

A shop that wants to earn from its space, window or customers is a Hub. A shop that mainly wants creators to promote its products is a Pioneer. Because one account covers both paths, a shop can do either as the need arises.

Can I change my account type later?

Public wording can be edited at any time, and a change of side is reviewed by Fluent Support so that open deals and memberships are handled properly. Do not open a second account to change account type; duplicates are not allowed.
